Our Top Five Family Friendly Days Out Around The North West

Spring is fully underway. The sun is kindly making its presence known (please continue, we beg you), and everything around us is blooming!

So why not head out for some fresh air. And lets be honest, we don't want to sit in the house watching the sun point out the fact we haven't dusted the coffee table or TV!

We've collated a list of our five favourite (and pushchair friendly) days out around the North West.

Hollingworth Lake, Littleborough

Hollingworth Lake

With a flat surface, this is a perfect walk for families with prams and toddlers. There are lots of different routes you can take surrounding the lake. Including a range of water activities and wildlife to enjoy. If you go on a sunny day you may even see a glimpse of the rocky beach like area leading down to the water. After you're tired with walking, there's a variety of cafes, restaurants, and amusements to end your day.

Heaton Park, Manchester

Heaton Park

Heaton park can offer a jam packed day of fun for families and children! Its vast landscapes consist of parks, a lake, historical buildings, animal sanctuary, cafes, and so much more! It's a great all year round outdoor area. Make sure to check online for any upcoming events you may want to schedule into your visit. Like the upcoming Nickelodeon experience or Summer fair.

Formby Beach & Red Squirrel Reserve, Liverpool

formby beach

Red squirrels and breath taking beach sea views! Not only do you have a beautiful coast line, but just behind Formby beach there's a beautiful woodlands home to rare native red squirrels.

Haigh Woodland Park, Wigan

Haigh woodland park

Activities for everyone across the Haigh woodland grounds. This Wigan woodland is bursting with fun, from crazy golf to high rope courses! A great day out for the whole family.

Dunham Massey, Trafford
Dunham massey

Dunham Massey is home to interesting historic features like the orangery, Pump house, and Victorian bark house. Surrounded by unusual plants such as giant Chinese lilies and flowering azaleas. You'll also pass through magnificent deer fields!

Enjoy the great outdoors!
